The basketweave crochet pattern looks like a knitted stitch. It is textured and dense. It is an ideal stitch for hats, scarves, blankets, and more.
You make this stitch with front and back post double crochet stitches, therefore, it uses quite a bit of yarn, but the beauty is worth it. It's an easy pattern to keep track of and works up quickly.
The pattern shows on both sides.
This pattern is a six row repeater and is worked back and forth, but you could easily work it in the round for a hat or a bag.
Use any yarn that you prefer and the recommended hook size.
Because it is so textured, it looks great in one color.
The skill level is Intermediate.
